The Subconscious Christmas Carol

Welcome to my penultimate newsletter of the year. 2009 may well be sneaking off into the annuls of history, but there is still a month left before the new year... A month, a perfect cycle of time to break old habits and re-pattern the subconscious with new and improved feelings and experiences. I will talk more about 'new patterns' later on in the newsletter as well as the forthcoming exciting Past Life workshop on the 9th December.

Christmas is certainly a time for being aware of how our past has shaped us and what buttons get pressed by those around us as well as the sights, scents, tastes and sounds of the festive period... Because it is a time of the year heavily laden with emotional connections from childhood excitement to adult family gatherings Christmas can be very telling about the destructive patterns running in our lives.

CHRISTMAS CAROL

Dickens knew what he was doing with his canny expose of habits and shaped behaviour. We went to see A Christmas Carol at the IMAX theatre in 3D. It was a magical film and one I would highly recommend for you to watch. Everyone knows the main premise of Scrooge being visited by the ghosts of Christmas past, present and future, but the bare bones of the story are all there for us to see and resonate with.Scrooge's own abandoned childhood at Christmas, his fear of being vulnerable as an adult by not having money hence his total preoccupation with it even to the detriment of losing his beautiful, loving fiancée.
 

For scrooge it took a forced intervention to revisit his past and see the karmic repercussions his present behaviour would have on his future before he was able to willingly change and consequently enrich (excuse the pun) his life so much more. His reflection of feeling more love in himself radiating outwardly with his altruistic deeds and renewed friendships. All of us could at times do with such a candid reflection of what has shaped our lives, maybe it's easier to book yourself on a workshop or come to the office for a one to one rather than wait for the ghosts of Christmas past to scare the bejesus out of you

Amy Winehouse's £18,000 Counterfeit Emotion

Amy Winehouse has long been filling the tabloids with all manner of sex, drugs and rock ' n ' roll stories ranging from salacious gossip to the downright painful to witness for such a prodigious talent. I wrote an article a few years ago predicting much of what has happened with regards to her health and her relationships but what is really important is the past life I tuned into that explains so much of her destructive behaviour.

Everyone can become drawn into the surface level of what is unfolding with a celebrity, but all of us have destructive patterns that are triggered in this life by emotional traumas and very much in the case of Amy Winehouse by a strong past life influence.

I tuned into a religious life (Isle of Wight convent / priory in the 1400's) where, basically her religious mentor had died of a serious illness which sent Amy's soul in that life into real anger at her religious belief which she used to spread fear among the islanders. They suffered as a result her fear mongering and on her death her soul slipped into massive guilt for having caused so much suffering to others. the two major triggers in this life were her grandmother dying (the mentor in the past life) and also by achieving success with her voice kicked in the subconscious fear others were listening to her (the islanders) and hence they were going to suffer.

I have tried to give you a short condensed version I tuned into but hopefully you can see how strongly the life has influenced emotional behaviour. The £18, 000 Christmas decorations shopping spree is what I call a counterfeit emotion where subconsciously she is trying to return to innocence and safer memories... It will be interesting to see how 2010 shapes up for her.

PAST-LIFE WORKSHOP

Because of its success I am planning to do another one in January, as Amy Winehouse's example shows in the previous section it is a fascinating process to understand exactly how a previous life has been triggered in this life and what similar patterns we are running as a result.

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has taken part in this years workshops, one to one sessions and Retreats. I have met and helped some wonderful people and am looking forward to expanding my Soho practice next year. I am also working on my next book, some exciting television projects and will continue to look forward to further events with the Soho House group and Quintessentially.
